D2 ............................................................................................................... Editing Style I have chosen a particular editing stye. I wanted it to have not a lot of editing with transition but more like a jumps cut style where i have a montage of clips just playing one after another. I liked this style and it looked similar to other professional music videos. This is also the style of what a dance video would look like a lot of different clips maybe also repeated to get that montage of clips effect. all i had to do for this editing style is make sure my clips are cut the the right length and so it looks smooth when they jump to each clip. I also needed to make sure it was in an order that i liked, i needed clips to be placed where they are not the same as one another. D1 ............................................................................................................... Genre The gerne of my music video is a dance/ music video. It is there to entertain and it is there to show off dance and music. I say it is a dance video because that is the style I'm wanting it to be. I want it to be there to show off the dance and the music linked together. I'm creating this meaning of dance and togetherness because in the video we have a group of dancers together and they are showing off their moves. We have all of us in shots together where we look like a good strong team and that shows the togetherness of the video that we can all dance and be happy together. Also, the song is called 'please don't stop the music' , this suggests the party and dancing music go on and have a good time !! Unit 18 Cinematography- M1

M1 ............................................................................................................... Camera For my music video i have decided to use my phone (iPhone 15). This was handy because i have a lot of benefits to this. The first being I am fully familiar with what my mobile can do and I have previously adjusted the setting in my own photography. The camera quality is good all throughout and i shouldn't run into any issues which is great. I will use a phone tripod to make sure that the shots i get are steady and straight and ensure my footage is usable. With my own phone being used to film It will be easy for me to transport and set up due to the size. One thing I will need to make sure though is that I have fully charged my phone before filming as I am not able to replace the battery partway through and this would waste time for me if I have to stop and charge. Codes and Conventions Codes and conventions are the techniques used in order to communicate certain ideas or construct meanings. Codes are systems of signs which create meaning and conventions are the generally accepted ways of doing something. Technical codes are the technical elements of the video including camera angles and shots, sound, lighting and editing. Symbolic techniques are how the meanings are conveyed through the use of body language, mise en scene and actions of characters/artists.  I have followed most of these codes and conventions through out the music video.  Camera shots and camera angles that i have used are all different through out. I even used landscape and portrait angles when filming, this created cool effects in my music video. Offline Edit For my offline edit i have decided to cut pieces down that i want in different placed and i have put all my footage in order. This means that all i have left to do is add the music and transitions that i am looking for when it comes to the full edit of my music video. I have done all of this in Premier Pro.  This process has taken me such a long time. Due to my music video being made up of many different clips (36) and these clips also had to be split into smaller clips i needed to get everything in the right order of how i like it and i needed to make sure i had enough footage to fill out the whole song. I had enough footage in the end and so i didn't need to re shoot. I had a few issue with the clips, this was my mistake. Animation Unit 10- LO3

P5 ............................................................................................................... This is how my animation was created. I have decided to do stop motion animation so my animation required me to make all the backgrounds and take each image of every moving thing to make this animation come to life.  I had my own quiet room to make sure that I have the right resources to work with each background. The backgrounds were made out of colourful card and some of the elements that I wanted moving were not glued onto the background they were stook on by blue tack. This allows me to move each piece how I want too but it not be full stuck onto the background or else it just wouldn't work. The background was also stuck on the back wall with blue tack because I was going to be moving it through shooting and so that needed to stay unstuck but stuck to the wall.
