Camera

For my music video i have decided to use my phone (iPhone 15). This was handy because i have a lot of benefits to this. The first being I am fully familiar with what my mobile can do and I have previously adjusted the setting in my own photography. The camera quality is good all throughout and i shouldn't run into any issues which is great. I will use a phone tripod to make sure that the shots i get are steady and straight and ensure my footage is usable. With my own phone being used to film It will be easy for me to transport and set up due to the size. One thing I will need to make sure though is that I have fully charged my phone before filming as I am not able to replace the battery partway through and this would waste time for me if I have to stop and charge.


Camera Settings

What i will plan to do on my phone is to make sure that everything is in focus. If it was not i would adjust my angle or movement. I would also adjust my lighting to match this. This would help a lot to make sure the shot was clear and that i would have good quality footage. I may sturggle to adjust the ISO & Aperture on my phone as these settings are quite limited. However, instead of adjusting settings i will adjust the settings around me to make sure the shot is how i need it. I knew that i could use my phone for good quality work because there has been films released that have also used their phone which is amazing and inspired me to try it out. The film 28 Years later has used iPhones to film and I wanted to try mimic this to get the best quality footage I can. On practice shots the quality has turned out brilliant and really worked well for the film and so i am happy that i use my phone to get the footage I will need for my music video. The lighting could be changed by the colour or position to make sure that the camera was in good quality and worked with what i had. I will have to check if the costumes would clash with the colours especially bight colors and if so then I will have to change the lighting to make sure the film was good quality. 


Lighting

I have decided to use a few different types of lighting for my music video. One is over the head lighting which is the ceiling lighting. This acts like a spotlight for the dancers to be seen on stage when the room is pretty dark. This will work as a great light because it has a bright warm tone and it will make the colours of their outfits pop. It also lighten up the room when i need close up shots to be seen. Next I will use Led lights as at the location I am filming there some attached to the ceiling and these are spotlights again on the dancers when on stage and they flashed many different colours. This was chosen to resemble disco lights and a party atmosphere. I will also use a backdrop, this backdrop has little fairy lights dotted in the backdrop. This can give the closeup shots something visually interesting in the background. It will look like stars and that linked in with the last night dance vibe with the dark room and cool lighting. I can also use a few more led lights they are plug in LEDs and they are situated across the floor. This is for when the dancers are on the floor and the lighting could shine on them. They can change colour when i manually change them and this can help bring in a good variety of colour and it should work well with the costumes.  This should make the atmosphere match the dance party vibe i wanting to recreate. 


Lighting style

I am planning to use two point lighting when it comes to filming on the floor with the dancers, as this was the best way to get as much light on them in such a dark room. The colours will work well with this style and there were many of them I can use and change to get the combination right. This was so I can change it up & make it exciting for the audience it will also match with the atmosphere and i think it brighten up the dancers and make them look amazing. I will also use lighting that was just natural and above me to make the close up shots clear and bright. I will use the coloured lights on the close up shots too to make it visually interesting and to have a wide range of shots with different lights. I have done this to match the lights with the style of the video. The style of the video is party, disco, dance, club, hip hop style this to me incudes colour so many colours and flashing lights different styles of lights and more. That is exactly what i will do and include them into my video and I feel it will look great as a finished product.

I have decided to use a short film from a student in a UTC college for my inspiration and I decided to us this because it effected me so much to were I wanted to do something in that style. The movie is a short film and it has only a few actors in it. Animation Unit 10- LO3

P5 ............................................................................................................... This is how my animation was created. I have decided to do stop motion animation so my animation required me to make all the backgrounds and take each image of every moving thing to make this animation come to life.  I had my own quiet room to make sure that I have the right resources to work with each background. The backgrounds were made out of colourful card and some of the elements that I wanted moving were not glued onto the background they were stook on by blue tack. This allows me to move each piece how I want too but it not be full stuck onto the background or else it just wouldn't work. The background was also stuck on the back wall with blue tack because I was going to be moving it through shooting and so that needed to stay unstuck but stuck to the wall.
