Audio Visual M2- legal, ethical and moral issues

Legal

Some legal issues that could occur is thing such as copyright, if we use anything that is copyrighted then you can't use it that is why we have used non copyrighted music so we can use the music without having to ask for permission or paying the fine if we use something that is copyrighted. This is the same with using photos, brand names and more so this is why we are making everything our selves so it relates to the brand but the video its self is as unique as we have made it. We think that if we used anything that isn't ours there is a risk of us getting a fine from using something we aren't allowed, because we know the risk we have used our own photos, videos and music that is not copyrighted so we know there is no way we can get told off for using what we are. Intellectual Property Rights: Ensure that all content used in the ad, including music, images, and slogans, does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or patents. We have clearly made sure that everything we have used will not get us into any issues such as copy right.

Misrepresentation in advertising is essential when making an advert we need to make sure that all of the content needed is true. We have made sure that within our advert all the information that we have provided is truthful and reliable for the audience to use if needed. We have ensured that we have added the information in the advert is truthful and that people can see in the advert that all the features of the headphones do work. Such as the wires are shown in the advert to make sur people know that the truth is that it is a wired product.

Discrimination Laws: Ads must not promote or appear to support discrimination based on race, gender, age, religion, or other protected characteristics. We have made sure that this advert is inclusive for everyone and it is for everyone in any race, gender, sexuality and cultured. Everyone must feeling included but we do have a certain target audience which is abut age. People will feel included in the brand no matter what because we do not use anything in any way to make it seems like it is for only certain people.

Some companies such as the BBFC are a film regulator which means that they won't regulate what is put on YouTube, which is what our visual promo is on, meaning we need to make sure it meets YouTubes rules on what is allowed on YouTube advert or not. The BBFC decide what kind of age can watch certain things but this company only is used on films but not YouTube adverts. Google are the company who owns YouTube which means that the people who regulate the adverts that are on YouTube are Google.

Based on the video you are watching google will choose the advert that matches with the content you are watching. The ASA will also be involved with advertising but they don't get involved with YouTube ads however, ASA get involved with the same issues as the YouTube video adverts. What mean is that they will deal with the same rules that YouTube ads have to follow.

Moral

Within this audio visual promo we have made sure that anything that is within the advert has nothing that is going to effect anyone in  any way and nothing in our video is going to offended anyone. The video is only to do with the headphones and promoting the product, nothing in this advert is there to be targeted towards a certain race or religion because we want everyone to be included. We haven't put anything that is going to be offending anyone in any race, shape, size, age, religion and the list goes on. This again comes under all of the legal issues such as discrimination Law.

The advert involves someone being unhappy until they place these headphones on that helps them connect with music and be happy listening to what they like in comfort and style. There is a certain target audience for this but this doesn't mean not everyone could bye it because if they want too they can. This product is for anyone that enjoys music, podcasts, radio, movies and more. Something that is unethical would be aiming this product towards a certain size or race of someone, companies can do it but its not ethically correct and wouldn't be a good product to promote or sell. This is why we need to include all types of people in products and make sure everything that is advertised is not going to offend anyone. This is called social responsibility, which means that we will make sure that anything in this advert will not cause or influence harm or distress on the audience.

We made sure that we would consider everything that would be in the video is fully true, no false advertising and information. Everything in the advert is how it is there would be no false information about the headphones so people know that we are a reliable company and no one can sue us for false advertising. This has been an issue for other companies because people will take things very literally, but we have made sure that everything in the advert has research true information. This will come under a legal issues too such as false advertising and a moral issue called honesty. Everything in this will be fair and truthful, nothing that is mention is fake. The reason why this is important for us is because if someone finds out there is fake information about our product they can sue us for false advertising and that's going to then effect the company and sales of the product.

Ethical

We would not be stereotypical within this project, we made sure that this is something for everyone, we do not aim it towards anyone with a certain type of group. This is an issue with many different companies because they are stereotyping things by only making a product for a certain race or gender. This is not ethically correct this is unfair for people that might want to a certain product but because its said its only for 'men or only for 'women' they think they cant use it which is unfair. However, our product is for everyone and if they feel welcomed they are able to use our product we them have a very good diversity of people that us the product.

Impact on Health and Well-being: Advertisers should consider the potential health impacts of their products and marketing messages, particularly for products related to food, alcohol, or pharmaceuticals. Lucky for us our product is headphones and we wont run into any of these issues. This means that the impact of our product will not harm people in any way and we wont have any legal or ethical issues. It is the buyers choice how they want to use the product so if it is used to in a way that there people don't like that is not due to the product that is how the buyer is using the product. The wire becomes an issue incase this product is in the hands of children so we make sure that people f a certain age can  buy this product.

There are no environmental issues in the advert that are going to make people concerned for the environment and blame our company.

We had definitely not used any kind of manipulating techniques to make people buy this product, it is a free choice if someone once to buy our product or not and we make sure we encourage people to buy but in no way do we force them to buy the product.  We have a friendly approach to our product, at the start of the advert i come out of the college looking sad but not everyone does and so people will see that this product will not always make things sunshine and rainbows like it looks n the advert we make sure that the product is there for something like comfort and to relaxed. That is why we have advertised our product. There is no way our advert shows any of these moral, ethical or legal issues.
