I would like to inspire people with my article and make sure people feel more confident in themselves in what they want to do in life so there is some inspirational story in there to uplift people about themselves. I am informing them on information relating to the music theme of the magazine seen as though it is a music magazine so I need to share information for people to know about the new and lates music information. I want to entertain them with my photos that i have used and make it interesting for the audience knowing what artist is the main focus of the magazine this week.
Within the magazine there are parts of information is clear and then there are little part of coverlines that make you intrigued and excited to see what the information is about. People that buy the magazine I hope are interest in music or want to be and so they will get the latest news about the most recent indie rock music bands and artist. I am hoping the audience will receive the correct information that they are looking for. The information is about new concerts and that is what I want the magazine to be known for. I want to be informing people about the music news and the latest information about all of the new bands and more. The reason why I want to share this information is because it will help the artists gain their popularity and possibly bring new audiences for the artists but also making sure that I gain the popularity with the magazine and people can have an interest in what I have to offer in my magazine.
I am more the happy to entertain my audience with my intriguing article about the story of my main artist's life. Graphics
The title for my magazine is something I would say is gripping when looking at the front cover. I used a different and more usual font that you typically wouldn't see on a magazine. This is an indie rock music magazine and I am hoping I attract the right audience for this. The font I used for this title is called urban graffiti, this is a very bold and attractive font so people wont miss it. It is also in a very bight and eye-catching colour and so I know that it is going to draw the attention I need for my magazine. This font matches the rock vibe of this magazine and the white outlines are also bright, light and white addition to the green font so I think that this I eye catching and matches the theme to my magazine. The lines are very indie messy vibe and so I added that to the harsh rock vibe of the font to make sure I include both styles to my magazine front cover. The cover lines and small pieces of information are in a clear and elidable smart font so I don't think that it is something that is shockingly noticeable on the magazine but the background of the words are bight and colourful that also links in with the colour scheme so I think this is also a benefit to the coverlines and makes them stand out more. The bright colours are used though out to highlight the important words and so I think that I have done the best thing to gain interest and make it eye catching.
I have done the same for the contents page when it comes to the titles and information pieces. The same fonts are used and they are used in the same way to be able to be clear, eye catching and helpful so the readers know what they are reading and where. The contents page have a bight and colourful background photo and there are the same colourded text boxes to make sure that the audience can see the theme and to know where things are. The title is done the same to match the theme but to also be clear to read and fun. This is what I have done through out the magazine. All the fonts are sound on the default fronts and DaFont. They are placed on Photoshop with the text tool and that is what I have used to place the text. The textboxes used through out are created with the shape tool selecting rectangle shape. The drawing is created by the draw tool, these are all the simple tools that are all found on photoshop.
The double page spread is also done in the same way with the bright text boxes and the bold font for the main title. I use images to attract more information and to make it more of a visual magazine too. There needs to be lots of images to show the audience what the artsiest and concerts look like so i used my own images for this. I used white lines to create more of a layout design this was with the draw tool in Photoshop. I also used a light background colour but had darker text boxes to make the text stand out. This is all to attract the audience and to make sure the readers can read the writing.

Placement
The front cover has the main image as the background because I want people to be drawn to the artist in the photo first to see what the magazine is about. The bit colours and the central position of my model draws the most attention to my magazine. The bright colours are what people will see knowing this is a fun and colourful magazine. Some people can associated the colours with music and concerts so I feel like this is a benefit to my magazine with me having the image placed front and central. Then I have the main title in the left hand concert of the magazine because that is who we read books in England and this is how I thought when I was placing the magazine. When I go to look at a book I read left to right and this is why I placed the title here. I think when people go to read the front cover they will go from left to right or they will look for the biggest and brightest part of it. That is how thought to layout my magazine. The is why I have information on both sides of the magazine because you are going to read it from left to right, this shows some kind of structure to my magazine text to. This is what I have done through out the magazine.
When it comes to the contents page of the magazine I have decided to make it clear for people to clearly see what information is important and that you can find everything by using this page. The title for this page is central and bold to the readers are drawn to it right away because it is the main title of this show. The image is placed behind the text as a background. This is a main image and it I there to create character to the short film and it is something for the audience to be drawn too when it comes to the page. This page is important so the text needs to be clear and bold enough for people to see and read. The text for this film is placed central right to the page, this is to make sure that background image is seen and the placement is creative instead of looking like a book. The information for each page and each different piece of content is one after another, placed like a list and it is there for a clearer understanding for the audience to follow where is what. I think this is great placement for my magazine and I am confident that it is good for my audience to read.
Lastly it is the double page spread, the placement for everything is difficult because my article was very large and it had lots of text to fit on one page. However, the first page of the double page spread has images and text boxes dotted about in different places, this doesn't really matter for this page because it is all sperate information that the audience can read in any order and look at any piece. The images are there to give off some structure to make sure it doesn't look messy which is good because it doesn't look messy and everything is in place it is just not in a certain order that it has to be read. This just means the information is placed in a good and clear way. The article page has one image placed at the bottom on the page to break up all the information so it isn't an overload of words because then it gets too messy and clustered. This just makes it easier and less overwhelming for the readers to read. The big piece of writing is in two columns to make sure that everything is spaced out and placed so there isn't too much mess in all one place. I am happy to see its all broken up and that it is a nice layout to where someone is happy to read it.

Colour
The colours that are within my magazine are not related to any specific meaning. However, I have reasons for using some of these colours in my magazine. The bright and vibrant colour remind myself of a party or a concert, the lighting at festivals, concerts and raves are important because they make the show exciting and it adds effects to the performance. This is why I have used bright colours in my photoshoot to create the effect of my artist being at some concert and festival.
For the front cover I wanted to make sure that there was a variety of bright and vibrant colours, the colours blue pink and purple all fall into the same category which all blend and link in together but the pops of green and yellow are there to stand out and bring attention to the page. I chose green because it pairs up nicely with blue but because they are dark blues and purple to bright florescent green makes the title stand out. This is there to attract the audience to look at the name of the magazine and the main artist that is all the important information that needs to be seen for the readers to see to know the magazine. I have used old traditional advertising to link in with my modern advertising, the colour red was used in newspaper for the audience to draw there attention onto the information. This is what I have done but using green and yellow (bright colours) over the dark purple, blues and pinks.
When it comes to the contents page I did't think too much about using bright colours I just wanted to keep on theme to my images. The hue of the image was a pink/ purple colour and so I used that to make the title and text boxes to be in the pink colour pallet. The pops of red in the image such as her bracelet and lips make the image look unique and it gives that contrast with the colours. I didn't what there to be much of a meaning to these colours I just wanted to keep on theme with the whole magazine. Using the images to determine the colour pallet. There isn't a specific colour pallet that I would link in with indie rock so I based the colour theme off a concert and the images I had chosen. The colours re also attractive and so I wanted to use them to be easy on the audiences eyes, the colours all link together without it looking overwhelming.
Each page of the double page spread had there different personalities. The first page is a mint green which is a softer version of the title in the front cover page, I wanted that link in all the colours I used in the magazine. There colours include different hues of pink, purple, blue and green. I wanted the softer versions pf the colours to have lots of writing on so I used that for the double page spread. The blue hues in the photos match the theme and give that bright pop of colour. The soft background make it easier on the eyes when there is lots of writing. That is why I have also gone for the soft lavender colour for the article page, this is a nice light colour that helps the audience see the writing without it being too much and too unclear. The colours all link in with the theme of the photography that i had done. I am happy with this and I am glad all the colours link in with the whole aesthetic of the magazine.
