Summary of Brief
Flip Tv is a children's tv program and they are my clients. They are wanting to create two idents before and after their programs. The theme is seasonal from spring to summer to autumn then finish on winter. Each of the idents are 15 seconds long. Two 15 second animations. The animation must end with Flip Tv logo at the very end of it. Flip Tv want the colours to match the animation. The target age range is 4-10. The want at least one mascot/ character. The sound included must be "you're watching Flip Tv" and the ending should have the voice over of "stay tuned for more Flip Tv".

Concept Artwork for Mascot
This is artwork for what kind of character i am looking for to use in my amination. I would like it to look like a bunny. They are friendly and cute, they are used a lot in kids tv aminations. I got the inspiration from Bing the bunny tv program and i got the idea of using my Jelly Cat Bunny teddy as a mascot character to use in my animation. These are just some images of what the bunny looks like and the ideas i had.

This is the production schedule i will go and follow to make sure i get everything done in time and that i don't miss anything when I'm working through all the processes.
Storyline
This is the storyline that i am going to follow when it comes to filming and creating my backgrounds. The style of the backgrounds is cut out animation while doing stop motion animation. I need a board and to be able to stick everything on and make it move easily to flow. I have added comments on colours and what will be moving wen it comes to filming. I will follow this when it comes to filming.
Risk assessment
They are low and medium risks but still something that can be causing harm or a risk. This will be taken into consideration and i will use this while filming and making sure that i will follow all the safety procedures.
Equipment and Resources
This is what i will be using from college and taking to help me create my own animation. I will be using these from college and i will be working in a safe environment and the best location to film and get the best but safest outcome i need.
I am going to be using either natural lighting if it is a bright good day outside but if not i will try and use both warm and cold toned lights because it can mimic the summer and spring and autumn with the warm toned light and then with a colder light like my phone torch i can use that for winter to give it a bit of realistic atmosphere.
I will also use software such as premier pro to edit all of my images together to create a video animation. I will add the sound which is a voce over in this too using premier pro and make sure everything is linked in together and edited on there.
Cast and Crew
For this project i will be doing this on my own. I will make and create the backgrounds and the art. I will be doing the filming/ images and i will also be moving all of the characters and pieces when it comes to filming. I will be editing the animations. I will also be doing the voiceovers and editing that onto the animations too. The lighting will be done by me when it comes to filming too. I will be following all f the health and safety because i am on my own and i need to make sure i do all of this safety on my own.

Medium
This is an animation that goes on the start and the end of the tv programs that are on Flip Tv. It is there to tell us that we are watching flip tv and it entertains the children watching. They are both 15 seconds long and i am going to be using the stop motion animation style of animation. This is a simple and very child friendly way of animation for children.
Running Time
There are two animations that i have to create. Each animation are going to be 15 seconds long. The brief from Flip Tv have asked if it can be this long for each animation. This is short and sweeet but enough time to inform the audience what they are watching and enough time to entertain the audience watching. This is a good amount of time when it comes to kids Tv because they have a short attention span and because we are only informing them on a short thing it is necessary that we do two short eye-catching animations.
Synopsis
Th animation is about a bunning that is setting off for a walk and she ends up walking through the seasons and different weather. One animation will be Blush the bunny walking through sunny/ cloudy spring with blooming flowers and butterflies flying about. This then after around seven seconds it will transition to Blush the bunny walking through summer. The clouds will move away and the sun will be bigger and brighter. Then once the sun has appeared the tree with a bird will come to life and create a summer time atmosphere. After this next seven second of the bunny walking through this season the animation will cut to the flip tv logo and a voice over saying "you're watching Flip Tv". The second animation will be Blush the bunny walking through the next season which is autumn and the leaves of the pervious tree are falling down and the colours have changed to a lovely orange and red atmosphere. Then Blush the bunny will transition and be walking through winter where a lovely snowman greets her and they wave us goodbye and the flip tv logo will appear. Including a voiceover saying "stay tuned for more Flip Tv".
Target Audience
The target audience that Flip Tv are looking for my amination to advertise to is children that are aged 4-10. This is the ages that are toddlers and a little older. I want my animation to be simple so it can be targeted to any age that rangers from 2-10. I have made sure it can include ages that are younger and that will enjoy a fun animation. After looking at animations that are on children's Tv I have made sure that i have linked the styles of my animation to the animation that i have seen on the channels. The animation is a simple cut out style using the stop motion animation, these styles of animations are found on the children's tv and so i am confident it will reach and target the right audience. I want children to be able to enjoy the simple eye-catching animation when it comes to the character and colours. I have used soft and bright colours to change contrast and make sure it doesn't always look the same. The character that i am using is a familiar character to the children because a bunny is found in many different children's animation such as Bing or Peter Rabbit. I hope that i have reached the right audience with the assets and elements of my animation.
Purpose
The purpose of the animation is to inform the audience which will be the adults and older children who are watching Flip Tv can see that it is informing them that they are watching Flip Tv and will still be watching it on that channel. It is there to inform the adults and older children that they are watching Flip Tv and it is the children Tv so it is appropriate for the children who are watching it. It is also there to entertain the children that are a lot younger who might not understand what they are watching and what things mean fully. Then the animation is there to entertain and keep engagement in the shows and channel.
Detailed Concept Art
Drawings
A few drawings of my simple backgrounds that i am going yo make out of card and coloured paper. This is going to be the backgrounds for my animations. The colours that i am looking for is different for each season.
Spring- light blue for the sky, pastel green for the grass, different coloured flowers such as reds and pinks. I will also look for a simple design in orange for the butterfly. The clouds can be white or off coloured white or grey. The sun will be a pastel yellow.
Summer- bright blue for the sky to show change, a bright green for the grass, the flowers will be gone but a bright green tree with brown bark will be placed in the corner of the background. I want there to be a blue bird a bright blue bird flying through the sky. A bright sun will be in the sky i would rather it be a bright not pastel for this season.
Autumn- I want an orange tinted sky and grey clouds, a brown tree with orange and red leaves falling on the ground or on the tree. Still wanting a green grass or i make it brown so it looks slightly muddy.
Winter- A icy blue sky would work well, i want white and grey clouds and white cotton (like stuffing) for the snow. I will have a white ground as if the snow has settled. There will be different colours on the snow man such as red and green for the scarf and hat.

SWOT- strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
There are many strengths and weaknesses when it comes to media and in my animation i think there are many strengths to them. One strength that my animation has is that it is colourful. It has many different styles of colour such as pastels and bright vibrant colours. This helps children that are sensitive to colours due to age, soft colours are there to make sure the children are comfortable watching the ident. The plain and straight forward colours are easy on the eyes to make such the children don't get confused and like what they are watching. This is very good for children's health and it makes sure that it is not disturbing for the children to watch. This is a strength to the indents because it works with the target audience meaning we can get more viewers to enjoy and watch thew shows. My ident are also only 15 seconds long, this is a benefit for the target audience because children usually have a very short attention span and so a quick and short animation to keep then invested is a good thing. It is enjoyable, colourful and simple so hopefully it will be good for their attention and it will be still entertaining to were it isn't boring. Children's animation has to be very clever because if its too long they might not be interested if its simple they might find it boring but if its complicated and busy it might be overstimulating so when it comes to my animations i think that the short span will grab their attention but the simple animation might be easier for the mind and eyes. Another strength that i would like to touch up on is that i think that i am happy using stop motion animation. I like the idea of doing something different and with it being stop motion i want it to look real for the children when they are watching the small idents. I want children to enjoy this little clip and make a little connection with the amination because if that happens it could create so many new opportunities.
There are going to be many strengths but with that there comes weaknesses. There are a few weaknesses that i will address. One is that because my animation is simple i don't want it to be too boring for my target audience. You want to keep the children's attention however, you don't want it to be too busy so it confuses them. Simple but effective is what i need however, i wont know this until i start filming and get it together and i think that is one of my weaknesses. When it comes too the budget and the costs i will have for the animation i have little to no budget. This can effect the quality to my animation because i may not be able to get the things i need to create an animation maybe as good as a company such as Disney. However, this doesn't mean my animation is going to be bad you can do amazing things if you put your mind to it but if i am competing against other popular companies this might be a struggle for me. I am going to be using stop motion animation and if i don't end up getting the equipment i need and if i have limited supply i am worried that i wont be able to finish or make the animation how i wanted too. This can be a huge struggle when it comes to the creative and more hands on animation because not only do i have to think about the filming but i have to also think about all of the backgrounds and making those right and it can get too much especially when I'm doing it on my own. So my weakness is the supplies i have and that I'm on my own this can just be a struggle when it comes to making and filming.
The opportunities that i can achieve are interesting. If there is that connection and the positive feedback from our audience then there could be an opportunity to make something like a longer show and a longer animation and make it my own animation. If the animation ends up being a really good animation and there is that connection with the children and they want to see more it would be a great opportunity to make a full animation so the children can have a longer show with the character. This can progress and it can be shown on different channels and it could because a successful show within the children Tv animations. This then could grow into another opportunity, if this could grow into a full animation this could also be involved with cross platform opportunities such as a game. Once the animation because a big hit and people know enough about it this could be then turned into a different media such as a kids game for iPad or tablets. This is targeting children that are of a very young age so i wouldn't be thinking of phone games but iPad games would be a great way to expand the animation to another media. The game would involve characters and new characters to make it different, the animation could still be involved to make it familiar to the children which would be great for a game. There could be an educational element to the game which then has a benefit and another purpose for the children. An educational game with the elements of the animation would be great for the children and boots the population for me as a company.
However, there are always going to be some threats when it comes to making animations. One is competing with bigger companies. This can be a struggle to get a big audience looking at my animations when there are bigger animations out there gaining all the popularity because they are familiar to children such as Pixar and Disney. Due to me being a smaller company my animation might not be seen or might not be as good of a quality as theirs and this might be a threat to me and my audiences. Also with my company i think that because i don't have that high of a budget the other companies that I'm competing against might have higher budgets and can use things that i won't have access too. This all linked together when it comes to thinking about the threats. There are elements to it that all come back to the threat of other competing companies that are achieving the same thing as me. However, if they are a lot more fortunate than me when it comes to budget, equipment, staff, facilities, and i don't have the same or better level than that then i will always have my risk and threats of it not becoming successful.
